Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Curious Dojo, available at curiousdojo.app and related domains (the "Service"), operated by Pixanow ("Pixanow", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who may use the Service
Curious Dojo is an educational platform intended for children learning under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Only a parent or legal guardian who is of legal age in their jurisdiction may create an account and set up child profiles. If you are creating an account on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Accounts and parental consent
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account and under child profiles you create. By adding a child profile, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you consent to the child's use of the Service in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Notice.
Child profiles are PIN-protected and managed exclusively from the parent dashboard. You may review, edit, or delete a child profile at any time. You must not allow a child to use the Service in a way that violates these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- engage in fraud, spam, harassment, or infringement of intellectual property;
- upload malware or otherwise attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the Service;
- probe, scan, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service, or circumvent technical limits;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service.
Our full Acceptable Use and Child Safety Policy also applies to every account and child profile.
4. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, content, curriculum, mascot, branding, and documentation, is owned by Pixanow or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial learning within your subscribed plan.
5. User content and educational outputs
You retain ownership of content you or your children create in the Service. You grant Pixanow a limited licence to host, store, and process that content solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for your prompts and for how outputs are used, and you confirm you have rights to any input you provide. Outputs generated inside the Service may be inaccurate, are provided for educational purposes only, and should not be relied on as professional advice. We may moderate, filter, or remove content that violates these Terms.
Curious Dojo is not an open AI playground or unfiltered chatbot. AI literacy features are embedded only inside structured lessons and activities, with constrained inputs, curriculum-aligned responses, and no ability for children to access the open web or external AI services from the child experience.
6. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Payment, billing, and tax mechanics are governed by Stripe's terms and applicable law. Our refund practice is described in our Refund Policy.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval selected at checkout until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will remain available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete associated data after a reasonable period, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pixanow's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the amounts paid by you to Pixanow for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Pixanow harmless from third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
11. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Pixanow's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local mandatory law provides otherwise.
13. Assignment and force majeure
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
